Our three star School House overlooks the majestic Knocklayde Mountain, situated 4 miles from Ballycastle amongst some of Northern Ireland's most spectacular scenery – a walker's paradise

 

 

 

The Schoolhouse was originally built in 1834. It provided primary education for the local children until it closed in 1969. Now a charming detached holiday home Glenshesk Schoolhouse has been completely refurbished and restored for modern day living while retaining the character and style of the original school.

 

 

 

 

It is an ideal base for touring the Nine Glens and North Antrim coast which has some of the most spectacular scenery in the whole of Ireland. It is close to popular land marks such as Carrick – a – rede rope bridge, the Giant's Causeway, Bushmills Distillery and Dunluce Castle. On your return journey you can stop and discover dotted around the coast small sheltered harbours and slipways, fishermen's cottages and rock formations that you will never forget.

 

 

 

 

 

With fantastic 18 hole Golf course within 4 miles from the schoolhouse, and local grass and hard court tennis facilities available you will not have a problem finding things to do. For the younger generation there is a fun pool and play park, along with a beautiful sandy beach to explore and enjoy.
